Wines: Well, my name is Johnny Lee Wines born in South Carolina. And the age is 30… [Laughs.] No.

Johnson: Name is Ezekiel Johnson, born in Brooklyn, New York. I'm 60. Oh man, look at that first picture. Me and Johnny, we was partying. [Laughs.]

Wines: Yeah, that takes me back to '71 when I was doing the kung-fu fighting, and we happened to get out of work one night and we had a little celebration that night…

Johnson: Yeah, and Milton came in there and took our pictures…

Wines: 'Cause we just got out of work. That's how we first met. The same night. And we looked up and started dancing and doing the kung-fu. I was showing you how to do the kung-fu dance that night, and he was watching my feet. That's bringing me back…

Wines: Yeaah.

Johnson: Boy, that was a long time ago!

Wines: This picture here [second picture] is bringing me back to when I got in a scramble with this boy and he was looking for me so I had to disappear. Remember?

Johnson: Yeaah.

Wines: And I come over here to let you know that I was back? You remember '84?

Johnson: '84. I was steel-working then.

Wines: This picture here sure does stick in my mind. Yeaah.

Johnson: And this one was '89?

Wines: '89.

Johnson: No it was '92.

Wines: '92. That's what it was. This here, this goes back to when I was going back to church.

Johnson: Yeaah.

Wines: 'Cause I had my bible on the bicycle when I come home from church to see you that day.

Johnson: Yeah. Right after Milton took this one the girl in the back died. She was watching y'all take our picture. Then she went in the back and never came out. Mmm. That was a shame.

Wines: Yeah… We're still good friends. From '71 to 2001, still going strong. So that's what you call close friendship. And it's gonna keep getting better 'till we're buried. [Laughs.]

Johnson: Me and Johnny been tight so long, man, I don't think nobody in the world been through as much as me and him, you know?

Wines: Yeaah.

Johnson: Seeing these pictures bring back memories, you know? Yes, Lord, it's shocking.

Wines: You start young, you get older, then you get older and older.

Johnson: 'Til you fade away, huh? [Laughs.]
