Hunan Chef
Recorded in New York City.
Premiered February 29, 1992, on All Things Considered.

For nine years, Dave Isay ate each week at the Hunan Chef, his favorite Chinese restaurant in New York City. In February of 1992, after a rent hike proved too steep for the restaurant, the Hunan Chef served its last diced chicken with peanuts and hot peppers and closed its doors forever. Dave Isay was there.

Producer and reporter: David Isay.
